The Department of Alumni Affairs is the office responsible for the coordination of activities and information for graduates and ex-students of the institution. The director serves as liaison between the administration and the alumni association. Among the various responsibilities, the office is the official source for keeping alumni abreast of activities of the College and alumni chapters active in the Association.

Among the various events specifically designed for alumni, the College hosts an annual Founders'/Homecoming Week. This event is designed to bring alumni back to the campus for socialization, fellowship and opportunities to support the College financially. Various fund raising activities involving class competitions are conducted throughout the year through chapter and reunion class participation. Some activities of the event include participation in the J.N. Ervin lecture series; an annual seafood festival provided by the College President; the Annual Plenary Session; the National Alumni President's Luncheon; an Alumni Awards Banquet that recognizes Distinguished Alumni; and an alumni dance. The event culminates with the Sunday Morning Worship Service and the pilgrimage to the Pioneer Cemetery. Another annual event is the annual Pioneer Hall of Fame Banquet. This event gives recognition to alumni and other individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the College, their communities and society at large. During the banquet, the honorees are inducted into the Jarvis Christian College Hall of Fame now in its ninth year.

In preparing students to become supportive alumni, a Pre-Alumni Council exists on the campus. Although all students are recognized as pre-alumni, active participation is indicative through bi-annual membership dues. The pre-alumni council serves as official host and hostesses during major college programs and events. Additionally, they serve as ambassadors for the institution through positive displays and by representing the college in off-campus events. Through the Pre-Alumni participation, each year young ladies compete on the national level for the title of Miss National UNCF Queen.

Jarvis Christian College is located in the piney woods of beautiful East Texas.
