National Science Foundation (NSF) Summer Science Institute
will be held on the Jarvis campus June 9 – July 18, 2013.
High School juniors and seniors and college students interested
in doing research on animals and plants are encouraged to apply now.
Participants will study organisms in their environment and make
publishable or marketable their conclusions. Students will live

Advanced Summer Enrichment Program (ASEP)
will be held on the Jarvis campus June 9 – July 19, 2013. First-time
freshmen are encouraged to apply to the program now. ASEP aims to bridge
the gap between high school and college through academic course work,
enrichment activities, and building relationships with students,
faculty, and staff. The program also offers instruction and tutoring.

Summer Enrichment Program (for boys and girls ages 6 to 14)
will be held on the Jarvis campus June 10 – August 23, 2013. Parents and guardians of children ages 6 to 14 are encouraged to apply before the deadline of May 31, 2013. The program will be held Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Classes such as reading and English will be held in the mornings. The Olympic-sized swimming pool and weight room
at Jarvis will be open to the public on May 31, 2013. The hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is a $3 fee to swim and $3 fee to use the weight room; the fee to use both in a single day is $5. For more information click here
Summer Food Program on Jarvis Campus
When: June 10 – August 23, 2013
What: Trained staff will serve FREE breakfast and lunch
Who: Children & Youth 1-18 years of age
Time: Monday – Friday, breakfast 8-9 a.m., lunch 12-1 p.m.
Place: The Grill, in the Ron Haye Building
Voting is now underway to determine which HBCU Campus Queens will be featured in
the pages of EBONY magazine. The winners will be the 10 Queens with the most votes.
