GUIDELINES FOR THE SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS
OF DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AND EX-STUDENTS AWARDS
BACKGROUND
Every institution of higher education justly takes pride in the accomplishments and achievements of its alumni and former students. Their achievements not only reflect well upon themselves, but also extend and enhance the visibility, reputation and integrity of the institution. Jarvis Christian College for many years has attempted dutifully to recognize its distinguished alumni and ex-students and, subsequent to the consolidation of its alumni association and the Southern Christian Institute Alumni Association, has most properly attempted to recognize the alumni and ex-students of that fine, but now extinct, institution.
In an attempt to facilitate and to assure comprehensiveness in the process of identification and the selection and recognition of awardees, the implementation of guidelines is important.
