The Library staff shall conduct the issuance of instructional media. The Library shall provide academic support for audio/video/visual instructional technologies. This is done through a variety of services designed to enrich the learning experience

Service Categories
A formal request category system shall be used to determine media service priorities. Requests will be honored on the basis of category (first) and when scheduled (second). The category system is as follows:

1. Jarvis Christian College Instructional
2. Administrative and Institutional
3. Student Organizations
4. Community (non-College groups)

Requests within the same category shall be granted on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the College. Equipment and/or materials may be pulled from lower category requests to fulfill the needs of higher priority requests.

Making a Request
Ideally, media requests should be made as far in advance as possible. Officially all media requests MUST be submitted three (3) business days in advance.

Requests should be made using a "Media Request Form (see attachment)." Forms must be submitted to the library staff either in paper or electronic format (3 business days prior).

Returning Equipment/Material
Much of the media equipment and materials is in great demand.

Equipment must be returned to the library during regular hours of operation. DO NOT PLACE MEDIA EQUIPMENT OR MATERIALS IN THE BOOK DROP.

*Please be considerate of other patrons and return items on time as late returns may result in denial of service to the next person waiting to use the equipment or material. Borrowers who repeatedly violate the return policy may face borrowing privileges suspension.

Borrower Responsibilities
Borrowers are responsible for equipment and materials checked out to them, and will be financially liable for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment and/or material. Fees for late returns will be assessed .
