Academic Affairs MAJORS AND MINORSA major and a minor are required for the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees. The Bachelor of Business Administration requires a major core of courses and a specialization area. Normally, a major consists of a minimum of 36 semester hours and a minor consists of a minimum of 24 semester hours. Since the number of semester hours required for a major or a minor depends upon departmental regulations, students should check the number of hours required for a specific major or minor.
