Jarvis Christian College is in the midst of a major transformation some of which is visible to the eye.  You can see our campus upgrades in our state of the art labs, full technology capabilities in our classrooms, and a bigger and better Student Activity Center.  The new and much improved Student Activity Center has a game room and movie room where students go and have some fun while they get to know each other better.  For those that are interested in more physical activities we have a new weight room, remodeled indoor pool, and refurbished auxiliary gym, and outdoor tennis courts.

Jarvis has much more to offer.  We have a new partnership with The Washington Center that will allow more of our students to study in the Nation’s Capital and also to study in other countries.  We are becoming a community of learners focused on preparing students to live, work and provide leadership with all kinds of people, anywhere in the world. 

Active engagement in the teaching and learning process is at the heart of the academic experience at Jarvis Christian College.  We believe that:

• engaged pedagogy will challenge the learner intellectually and personally in ways that lead  to more comprehensive  perspectives;
• intellectually stimulating leadership, communication, research, and outreach activities all lead to learners with highly developed intellectual skills;
• a high level of student-faculty interaction (in and outside of the formal classroom setting) leads to learners with the ability to critically analyze and better understand issues from a variety of view points; and
• the experience will lead to more individuals becoming proactive advocates for inclusion and equity throughout the world.
