Charles Lee is in his second season as the Bulldog’s Assistant Coach.  His duties include coordinator of recruitment, player personnel, and scouting.

Prior to his arrival, Charles spent 2007 thru 2010 as Head Coach at Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde, Texas with an impressive record of 85-22.  For his program success, 20 student-athletes received Athletic Scholarships on the NCAA and NAIA University Levels.

During 2005 to 2007 Charles served as an Assistant Coach at Southwest Texas Junior College where he was acknowledged for his recruitment abilities. Charles began his coaching career in 2005 as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Howard Payne University where he was in charge of individual player workouts, practice schedule, game by game statics, and film exchange.  

Charles is a resident of San Antonio, TX, where he attended Highlands High School. Charles was a four-year varsity basketball letterman and received 27-5A First Team All District Honors, All Greater San Antonio Area Team Honors, and All Region Honors. Charles then received a Full Athletic Basketball Scholarship to play at Paul Quinn College. Due to family matters, Charles then completed his college basketball career closer to home where he attended Howard Payne University. There he was a three-year starter and  nationally ranked in steals and three point percentage as a player and remains as one of the top three point percentage shooters in school history all while earning an American Southwest All Conference Nominations. After his senior season, Charles was then invited to the Info Sports INC Professional Basketball Combine and as a result signed a contract to continue his basketball career professionally in Mexico (Indios De La UAC-Juarez) where he played for a season.

Charles completed his education at Sul Ross State University with his Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Kinesiology. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Exercise Sports and Science at New Mexico Highlands University. Charles has a son Jalen Elijah Lee who is 11 years old.
