Jarvis Christian College to Reduce Tuition

Jarvis Christian College is announcing that it will reduce tuition and fees by 15 percent. The reduction will be in effect for the 2012-2013 academic year.
On April 7, 2012, the Jarvis Christian College Board of Trustees approved the tuition decrease for college. “In today’s society, students have several colleges and universities to choose from to complete their educational goals. The reduction in our tuition and fees will make us more competitive in our local area,” stated Dr. Lester Newman, College President. “We are excited to be able present this to our current and future students for the 2012-2013 academic year.”
ABOUT JARVIS CHRISTIAN COLLEGE
Founded in 1912, Jarvis Christian College is a historically Black College affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The mission of the College is to prepare each student intellectually, socially, spiritually and personally to participate in and contribute to a global and technological society. The campus is situated in an attractive wooded area of about 1,000 acres, providing adequate room for future expansion. The campus proper covers approximately 243 acres approximately 100 miles southeast of Dallas, Texas and 89 miles southwest of Shreveport, Louisiana. The college is also conveniently located 30 miles west of Longview, Texas and 21 miles northeast of Tyler, Texas.
Jarvis Christian College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award the baccalaureate degree.
