The Office of the President is the organizational center of Jarvis Christian College . From within this office, administrative oversight of all College programs, activities, and offerings are managed. Dr. Sebetha Jenkins is the tenth, and current, president of the institution.

Dr. Jenkins has gained national recognition while serving as President of Jarvis Christian College. Her stature has been recognized by her appointment to a number of prestigious professional organizations, commissions and boards. Of particular interest, she has served as a board member of the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas; American Council on Education, Commission on Adult Learning and Educational Credentials; Association of Black Women in Higher Education; The Christian Church Foundation Board; The General Board of The Christian Church; The Council of Independent Colleges; National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education and Texas Discovery Gardens. She has chaired the Council of Presidents of the United Negro College Fund and the Red River Athletic Conference.

In 1994, Dr. Jenkins was appointed to the President's Board of Advisors on Historically Black Colleges and Universities by President William Clinton. This singular honor places her among the major leaders in education in the nation.
