Jarvis Christian University Welcomes Fulbright Scholar from Taiwan

Hawkins, Texas — September 23, 2025 — Jarvis Christian University proudly announces the arrival of Fulbright Scholar TingWei, who will bring rich expertise in language instruction and cultural exchange to the university community. A native of Taiwan, TingWei joins Jarvis Christian University with four years of teaching experience in Chinese language education. Through the Fulbright program, she will not only teach Mandarin but also introduce students and the broader community to the diverse and vibrant culture of Taiwan.
“I am excited to share the Chinese language along with the unique traditions, delicious cuisine, rich history, and modern innovations of Taiwan,” said TingWei. “I hope to help students gain both stronger Chinese language skills and a deeper appreciation for Taiwan’s culture.”
The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international exchange initiative, fostering mutual understanding between nations through academic and cultural engagement. TingWei’s presence at Jarvis Christian University represents an opportunity for students to broaden their global perspectives and engage in meaningful cross-cultural learning.
“Welcoming a Fulbright Scholar to our campus enriches our academic environment and helps prepare our students to be leaders in an interconnected world,” said Dr. Trenton Judson, Special Assistant to the VP for Academic Affairs for International Programs and Program Enhancement. “We are thrilled to have TingWei share her talents and her culture with our community.”
