Jarvis Christian University Launches Certified Drone Pilot Training Program
Jarvis Christian University continues expanding its workforce development initiatives with the launch of its new Certified Drone Pilot Certification Program, designed to prepare participants for careers in one of the fastest-growing technology sectors in the nation.
The program reflects Jarvis’s ongoing commitment to equipping students, professionals, and community members with practical, industry-relevant skills that lead directly to employment and career advancement. With the rapid growth of drone technology across industries—including agriculture, construction, real estate, public safety, infrastructure inspection, and media production—the demand for certified drone operators continues to rise nationwide.
The university’s one-day intensive training course will be held January 31, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will include comprehensive instruction, learning materials, and the certification exam. The class is intentionally limited to a small cohort to ensure personalized instruction and hands-on support for each participant.
Through this program, participants will receive foundational knowledge of drone operation, federal aviation regulations, safety procedures, airspace management, and best practices for commercial drone use. The curriculum is designed not only to prepare individuals to pass the certification exam but also to give them the practical knowledge needed to begin using drone technology professionally immediately after completion.
Jarvis Christian University leaders emphasize that this initiative is part of a broader strategy to connect education with workforce opportunity. By offering short-term, high-impact training programs like the drone certification course, the university is strengthening its role as a regional hub for workforce innovation and economic mobility.
The program is open to students, working professionals, entrepreneurs, and community members interested in entering the drone services industry or expanding their current skill set. With a registration fee of $600, the course provides an accessible pathway into a field that continues to generate new job opportunities and business ventures.
University officials note that programs like this reflect Jarvis’s historic mission of educating the head, heart, and hand—combining academic excellence with practical skills that serve communities and industries alike. By bridging classroom learning with real-world application, Jarvis continues to honor its legacy while positioning itself at the forefront of emerging workforce trends.
Interested participants are encouraged to register early, as seating is limited. Additional information about the program, registration details, and course expectations can be obtained through Jarvis Christian University’s Workforce Training and Continuing Education office.
With the launch of the Certified Drone Pilot Certification Program, Jarvis Christian University once again demonstrates its commitment to innovation, community impact, and preparing individuals for meaningful careers in a rapidly changing world.
