Jarvis Christian University Launches Fiber Optic Boot Camp to Expand Broadband Workforce Opportunities
Jarvis Christian University continues to expand its commitment to workforce development and technology education with the launch of a 5-Day Fiber Optic Boot Camp, designed to equip participants with the technical skills needed to succeed in the rapidly growing telecommunications and broadband industry.
The training program, which will take place May 25–29, 2026, on the Jarvis Christian University campus in Hawkins, Texas, is being offered in partnership with Learning Alliance and T3 Creators Collective. Together, these organizations are working to expand broadband access and develop a skilled workforce capable of supporting the nation’s growing digital infrastructure.
As communities across the United States continue to expand high-speed internet access, the demand for trained fiber optic technicians is increasing significantly. Jarvis Christian University’s Fiber Optic Boot Camp provides participants with the opportunity to gain both in-depth knowledge and practical, hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks.
The program is designed to prepare individuals for careers that support essential telecommunications services, including internet, phone, and television connectivity. Instruction will cover a range of essential topics including fiber optic fundamentals, splicing techniques, fiber testing, outside plant installation, and advanced troubleshooting methods.
