Jarvis Christian University President Dr. Glenell M. Lee-Pruitt to Serve as Special Guest for College Hill Missionary Baptist Church Women’s Day
TYLER, Texas — Jarvis Christian University President Dr. Glenell M. Lee-Pruitt will serve as the special guest for the Annual Women’s Day Service at College Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Tyler on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 10 a.m.
The annual celebration, themed “Walking God’s Plan on Purpose,” is inspired by Jeremiah 29:11 and will bring together members of College Hill and the greater Tyler community for a morning centered on faith, fellowship and purpose. The service will be held at College Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1314 West Houston Street in Tyler, where the Rev. Rodney C. Curry serves as pastor.
Lee-Pruitt’s participation reflects Jarvis Christian University’s longstanding commitment to faith, service and engagement with churches and communities throughout East Texas. As president of JCU, she has emphasized the importance of preparing students not only for professional success but also for lives of leadership, service and meaningful community engagement.
The Women’s Day celebration also provides an opportunity to recognize the important role women have played in strengthening churches, families, educational institutions and communities across generations. The theme, “Walking God’s Plan on Purpose,” encourages participants to consider how faith and intentionality can shape their individual callings and collective impact.
