Jarvis Christian University have present its Student and Faculty of the Year awards.

Junior biology major Cathyanich Hornedo of San Juan, Puerto Rico, was awarded the Student of the Year award for 2023-2024. She also bears the Miss UNCF title for 2024-2025.

Assistant Professor of Biology Dr. Antoinesha L. Hollman was named Faculty of the Year.  Hollman is also the director of the I-RISE Summer Bridge Program.

The awards were presented at a banquet at the Hawkins Independent School District on Tuesday, March 5.
