Jarvis Christian University Students Gain Real-World Industry Exposure at Expo! Expo! in Houston
Jarvis Christian University continues to demonstrate its commitment to student success by providing meaningful, real-world learning experiences beyond the classroom. Recently, JCU students took advantage of an exceptional opportunity to attend Expo! Expo! in Houston—one of the premier events and experiential marketing conferences in the country—through a partnership with The Annabelle Project and Warwick Davies.
For participating students, the experience offered more than a chance to attend a major professional conference. It provided firsthand exposure to the events and professional industry, allowing them to observe, learn, and engage with leaders who shape large-scale conferences, exhibitions, and experiential environments. From behind-the-scenes logistics to creative design and professional networking, students gained insights that cannot be replicated in a traditional classroom setting.
At Jarvis Christian University, experiential learning is not an afterthought—it is a core component of the educational experience. The University is intentional about creating opportunities that expand students’ horizons, sharpen their professional skills, and strengthen their confidence as emerging leaders. By attending Expo! Expo!, JCU students were able to connect theory with practice, understand industry expectations, and envision career pathways that may not have previously been visible to them.
This experience reflects the University’s commitment to Exposure, Experience, and Expectations. JCU believes students thrive when they are exposed to professional environments early, given opportunities to gain hands-on experience, and held to expectations that prepare them for excellence. Through strategic partnerships and dedicated faculty and staff support, the University ensures students are positioned to compete, contribute, and lead in a rapidly evolving workforce.
For the students who attended Expo! Expo!, the trip reinforced the importance of curiosity, initiative, and preparation. It also underscored the value of building professional relationships and seeking mentorship along the way. Students are encouraged to continue engaging with their academic advisors and campus leaders to learn about similar opportunities that align with their interests and career goals.
To prospective students and families, this experience represents the JCU difference. Jarvis Christian University is more than a place to earn a degree—it is a place where students are supported, challenged, and equipped for life beyond graduation. Through intentional partnerships and real-world exposure, JCU ensures its students are not only career-ready, but purpose-driven.
Congratulations to our Bulldogs who represented Jarvis Christian University with excellence at Expo! Expo! Your willingness to step forward, learn, and grow exemplifies the spirit of this institution.
