Grant accounts

The Grants Accountant provides primary accounting function for all grant monitoring administration, compliance, grant accounting, and financial reports of awarded grants through their final closing.

The Grants Accountant:

Perform grant-related post-award functions, including budget and expense analysis, periodic invoicing, financial reporting, re-budgeting and grant closeout functions.

Review invoices and provide account codes, when appropriate, for proper project accounting.

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports on grants for internal management purposes. Monitor compliance with internal policies related to grant funds and any other applicable grant regulations.

Initiate grant closing procedures and reporting

The Grants Accountant monitors expenditures against restricted accounts for compliance with university, state, federal and other sponsor guidelines to ensure policies are consistently applied.
